A Passion for Poetry
Silent cry for help is a poem I wrote when I was 21 years of age, I had recently lost my gran who was my second mother, fell out with my father and found myself in a dead end job trying to juggle bills and raise a child. I had also found myself with the wrong crowd and that was a real eye opener for me, I got to see the darker side of some people I thought I liked and could trust.

Now many of you that have taken the time to read this will probably laugh, but the point is when I read this it still touches a special place in my heart and in turn has created a passion for Poetry. I love to read amateur poetry because when I read a poem that catches my attention its usually because the author has managed to capture the feeling they had at the time they decided to pick up a pen and express them selves and for me, that is what poetry is all about.
