Elsenham House was the mansion used to film ITV's drama Footballers' Wives as the producers of the show were impressed with the neo-classical facade of the exterior of the property and the extravagant [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] gadgets of the interior. The owner of the property Richard [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] Maher knows how to sell a property as his [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] last property was bought by the Beckhams.
Richard previously owned Rowneybury House, which is now dubbed Beckingham Palace after the Beckhams bought it. However this property would also make many footballers wives jealous with the lavish decor. The show was actually filmed in the property for [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] about a year as so both Richard and his wife Shenda had to share their home with a film crew consisting of forty people. The house is situated on the Essex/Hertfordshire border and is only two miles from Stansted airport, Richard built the house twelve years ago and wanted it to be in the style of a 19th century Essex farmhouse.
When filming was taking place they admit that it was a little chaotic around the house but they were paid handsomely for it, around andpound;3,000 per day. If filming was taking place during the day they would often watch but if it was at night they would be put up in a hotel, although they preferred to go to their second house in La Manga in Southern Spain.
Shenda is used to being around celebrities as she grew up with Spice Girl Emma Bunton and attended stage school with Denise Van Outen. She was also in the Eighties sit-com Me And My Girl although she later became a beautician.
Shenda admits that the house looks a [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] lot bigger on the TV but Elsenham House is still 14,000 sq ft and to put this into context it covers the same area as ten three bedroom semi's. It only has six bedrooms but each one has its own bathroom, Shenda says that they could have put twelve bedrooms in but they would never have used them, the house is up for sale for andpound;3.75million. The master suite in the house is the size of an average flat and the antique four poster bed there was featured in many [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] of the shows steamier scenes. The "smallest" room is still [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] big and features a French musical toilet. One bedroom has hand painted [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] walls of scenes from Walt Disney films which the couple said they also did in their old house for their [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] daughter. They even think that the Beckham's kept it for Brooklyn.
Richard believes that the entrance hall is the best feature of the house as he thinks that first impressions count so he wanted it to be big. Richard does not like square [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] edges so he made everything curved and round so even the doors are curved.
The original house there was a ranch built by adult film maker David Sullivan who based it on Southfork from Dallas. Richard bought the house with 160 acres with stables for andpound;1.5million in 1999 after he had sold Rowneybury House to the Beckhams for andpound;2.5million. Richard had converted Rowneybury House due to it being a former children's home.
Elsenham House appealed to Richard because of [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] the land and stables as his [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] son, Ben, is an international show jumper. He was just going to extend the original ranch but realised that the ceilings were too low in the [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] house and so he pulled the entire house down. Richard has built houses in Spain after selling a chain of cosmetic surgeries in Harley Street in London eight years ago.
Elsenham House costs about andpound;1million to build after Richard looked through old photographs and books to gain inspiration. But he admits that the build cost was ten years ago, today it would be around andpound;2.5million. The couple feel that the house is [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] too big now and want something smaller in nearby Bishop's Stortford. The main house is for sale with ten acres as the rest of the land and stables have been separated to form Elsenham Stud for his son Ben.

The author, Mr. Vladimir N.Tuporshin, is the founder of WebAsyst LLC. He has had a successful entrepreneurial career spanning more than 20 years. You can easily implement the efficient methods of spam protection described herein [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] by using software developed by his firm. Try the free version of WebAsyst Help Desk and begin your anti-spam campaign today.
As soon as you publish an email address on your website to receive customers' inquiries, it is inevitable that you will very shortly begin to receive spam messages mixed with real support requests.
Are there effective ways to protect oneself against unsolicited advertising and to receive only messages from website visitors and registered customers? The answer is "yes". In this article, we present the experience of a genuine company's Help Desk which provides email-based customer and technical support.
This [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] company has been providing customer support services for more than five years and has never changed the email addresses of its support team. During this period anyone could have added the company's addresses to spam mailing lists, but they receive very little unsolicited mail.
The first line of defense is the mail server, which rejects over 90% of incoming messages at the mail pre-processing stage! Mail pre-processing involves several filtering steps:
1. The sender's IP address is checked against the spammers black list; the presence of the correct [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] DNS record on the sender's mail [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] server is also verified.
2. Message headers are checked for compliance with RFC standards and an additional check is performed to find out whether the sender's "From" address actually exists on the outgoing mail server.
3. The message contents are scanned for spam-like text.
If negative results are returned on any of these steps, the mail server rejects the message and returns the appropriate error code to the originating server.
Of course, not all incoming messages which pass this [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] filtering system are genuine customer requests. According to the company statistics (collected during 3Q 2010), 9324 messages passed through the spam filter into the [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] support database. Only 3056 of them (almost one third) were later confirmed by their senders, which means approximately 6000 messages remained unconfirmed.
Summary of statistics
Total number of messages received: 126456
Rejected by the mail server's spam filter: 90676
Saved in support database: 9324
Not confirmed by senders: 5939
Manually deleted by support team: 329
Real customer [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] inquiries: 3056
What does "Not confirmed by senders" mean? This corresponds to an additional spam filter in the customer tickets processing system. Every time it detects an incoming message sent from an email address which has not yet been registered in the customer database, it sends back an auto-response that asks the sender to click a special link to confirm the sending of his/her request. The confirmation link must be clicked only once for each email address; doing so automatically registers the sender's address in the database. All further inquiries sent from the same address will be received directly by the support team and the confirmation link will no longer be sent to their author.
The majority of messages saved in the database (5939 of 9324, approximately 64%) were not confirmed by senders; therefore, they are categorized as spam. Additionally, 329 messages were manually deleted by the support team. Although those messages had either been confirmed by senders or were received from registered email addresses, support personnel identified these as duplicates or spam.
In addition to email, the company also receives customer inquiries from a web form completed on the website and from customers' personal online accounts. For more information on these three support request receiving methods, see this earlier article detailing how to manage business email. Requests sent via web form or from an online account are [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] directly saved in the Help Desk database; therefore, the mail server's spam filter is not applied to such messages. The web form has its own means of spam protection:
1. CAPTCHA — an automatically generated image with several characters which a website visitor must type into a special text [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] field to send a request successfully. CAPTCHA helps protect the website from spam robots trying to automatically submit messages using the web form.
2. A confirmation link is sent back to non-registered email addresses (similar tactic to that used for requests which are received by email).
The most [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] reliable method of spam protection is the use of personal online accounts by customers. [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] Since access to an account is provided only to registered customers and is possible only after successful authorization, the probability of spam sent by account users is negligible. For a clear summary of statistics analyzed in this article in an easy-to-read chart, please go to our customer blog.
In summary, we recommend the following steps for efficient protection against spam when receiving customer requests online:
1. Offer a protected online account for each customer from which he/she can send requests to you. This will ensure almost 100% spam protection.
2. Place a web form with CAPTCHA on your website so that non-registered visitors can send their requests to the support team. [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
3. If you want to receive inquiries via email, set up a spam filter on your mail server and send auto-responses with a confirmation link to each new customer.
By implementing these steps, you can efficiently manage your help desk email and protect against most spam.
