Langkawi Underwater World is probably one of the most awesome places to visit in Langkawi. It houses the largest aquarium in South East Asia with exciting arrays of marine and fresh water animals. Among the marine lives that can be seen are the giant green turtle, the hungry big white tip sharks, the eerie stingray and huge groupers. Other surrounding tanks host many more sea creatures such as Puffer fish, Sea Anemones, Lion fish, Sea Dragons, the Hermit Crab and many more.
There are many more species in the freshwater section on displays. These include the Garfish, Bala Shark, Catfish and different species of Stingray. They come from various regions around the world from our own South East Asia to Africa, Australia and all the way from the Amazon in South America. On the preview tanks you can discover some Snapping Alligators, the Red Eared [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] Slider, the Albino Turtles and the largest freshwater fish - the Arapaima. Also present is the Southern Fur Seals from Peru and Southern Brazil and the Blackfooted African Penguin.
